9. Mood Board

In this mood board you can see the stereotypes of RnB, african american artist, the 'gangster' style of clothing. I also put some golden guns, golden car and mobile phone, this is a way gangsters and rappers show others their wealth and power. in the bottom right there is a picture of Frank Lukas, one of the richest and most powerful gangsters in the history of man, he has had a significant impact on the style of Rnb artists.

8. Nine key screen shots

Here are my 9 key screenshot of Birdman- Fire Flame, the video is mainly about Birdmans lifestyle, and is probably the video with the most aspirational lifestyle ever created!

1.This is the opening shot of the video and you can see that the performer lives in a big house and has a bridge leading up to the house, this shows where most of the video takes part and is a good way of showing it.
2.This shot comes after the shot of the house and you can see the lifestyle of the main character. As there are people working for him, combing his hair and serving him drinks the audience can see the aspirational lifestyle.
3. This shot of burning money sends a message that he has enough money to waste it and doesnt know what to do with it.
4. This shot shows the main character standing next to an expensive sports car in front of his house again showing how rich he is.
5. I chose this shot as it shows that he is doing illegal business with foreign people, where birdman is using an expensive branded bag as oppose to the other man using an ordinary suitcase meaning birdman is better.
6. In this shot you see the Birdman hiding his face using sunglasses and a hoodie which send a message that he is a celebrity and needs to hide his face, the hoodie also underlines that he is a gangster. He is also wearing an expensive watch with a lot of money in the background, this again shows the audience how rich the main character is.
7. This shot shows birdman overlooking a big fountain in his house, it is also a shot that shows all the tattoos on his head which makes the audience aware of his "gangster" ways.
8. This is a shot of mirdman speaking russian to a foreign business partner which underlines that he is a very organised criminal character.
9. This shot is the final shot in the video and it shows birdman sitting at the end of a long table in a room with a lot of money on the shelves and two women handing him two bags most probably full of money which shows that he has class in his work, aswell as it shows how rich he is!

7. Textual analysis

Not afraid - Eminem

This music video is quite different from the one my production company has decided to work on although it could be compared to send a bit of the same message as they are both about the life of the artists.

Editing
Throughout the first half of the video there are just lots of short clips showing small aggressive acts by the performer, the quick editing makes the audience aware of how aggressive the performer is. The quick editing may also be a way of showing confusion in his life as the storyline is about Eminem having thoughts of suicide.
Mis en Scene
This video as in the other video I made a textual analysis of starts with the singer on a rooftop, but has a different meaning, in this video the performer is evaluating whether to jump, but can also mean the same as in the other one, that he managed to get to the top. All the way throughout the video Eminem reaches 'dead ends' such as the top of the roof, or the end of a road where it just goes straight down, or the wall in the basement he sings in, in the end of the video he breaks throught the wall, and jumps over the edge of the road, what happens is he flies right back to where he was in the beginning of the video.
Sound
In the beginning of almost every sentence the camera changes angle, the shots also switch to the beat in the music. There is no diegetic sound in this music video except for the voice of Eminem
Cinematography
In his basement it is very dark, which may mean his life at the moment, what he is trying to do is break through "the bubble" which he does in the end when he punches the wall down and walks out to the light.

7. Textual analysis

Written in the stars - Tinie Tempah featuring Eric Turner

This song is quite similar to the video my production company have decided to create, and also has quite a similar storyline as the music video to the song we will work with as it is about how Tinie Tempah has risen from nothing to become famous, it also shows some of his hard time as young.

Editing
The editing in this music video is quite quick which makes the audience look at the video in more of an action point of view, in several scenes you can see that there is a scebne with Tinie Tempah as a child and immediately switches over to him as an adult in the same setting. This gives the audience an idea of his flashbacks and of his hard times as a child.
Mis en Scene
The video starts with Tinie Tempah on a rooftop, this symbolises that he has made it to 'the top' and has risen above the people that once did not believe in him. In all the scenes as a child Tinie Tempah is wearing headphones, but as an adult he is singing. In the setting where Eric turner is there is nothing but a piano.. everything else is very light with white walls, this could mean a lot of things, one of which is his hope, as a child the playing of the piano is quite slow, but as he grows up it takes off more. Tinie Tempah is always sitting down when he is a child and standing up as an adult, this shows the audience that he has managed to get out of the ghetto and lowlife.
Sound
You can see that throughout the video Tine Tempah is moving to the beat, also when the music takes off more he is standing on a rooftop and calmer music when he is a child.
Cinematography
In most of the scenes as a child the camera is shooting down at Tinie Tempah wheras the shots when he is grown up the camerea is shooting from below, this makes him look much bigger as an adult.

5. Letter to EMI productions

Above is a screenshot of me and Danyla's application for the right to use Wonderman by Tinie Tempah for our coursework.

4. Our project

Here is the original music video of wonderman- Tinie Tempah

The song platinum productions will work on this year of A2 coursework will be wonderman by Tinie Tempah. The song and original video is about the life of the artist and the way he grew up, and the way he managed to get rich after being poor as he was young. In my opinion this video goes under the genre of action, it is also quite dramatic. We will recreate the video as a dramatic video which will include a bit of aspirational lifestyle aswell as action. One thing that appears in action music videos like this one is explosions, as in the original wonderman music video there are at least three explosions. There is also a girl singing in this song which makes it sound a lot more dramatic.
